My name is Rod Palmquist and I currently work on the DC Staff of United Students Against Sweatshops (USAS), a national network of students in the United States who work in solidarity with unions fighting for power and a greater voice on the job. Every day I sift through various online pieces related to the labor movement and struggle against sweatshops, but I only forward a few of these on to USAS activists around the country. For the stories that don't make the cut, some actually are of interest to the activist community. They don't end up being shared out of a desire to not deluge our students' inboxes. I decided to create this blog to post these and other items online for interested observers.
